Capturing video at 640x480

I have just installed a video capture card (Turtle Beach TBS-1500-01) and now I am trying to do my first video capture from a VHS tape player. If I use the default settings in Vegas - 320x240 RGB24 - I am able to capture with no problems. Some of the other settings work fine too, but 640x480 RGB24 does not work. When I select those settings I get the error message "No combination of intermediate filters could be found to make the connection."

How do I know in advance what 'intermediate filters' are installed on my computer and where do I get the ones that I don't have?

I'm sure the card came with it's own capture utility, right? Until you find out what Vegas means, why not run some captures with the tool that came with the card. This will get you going and also help to set some baseline expectations.

"No combination of intermediate filters could be found to make the connection."

Sounds like a Microsoft DirectX message. You might need to update your DirectX
package.

downoad 9.0c.
