You can definitely render MPEG and MPEG2 files using Vegas Movie Studio, and the companion DVD Architect Studio that comes with it.

Where specifically are you having trouble? It might be confusing because there are some features you'll see in the manual or help file that are indicated as "available only in the full version" and not in VMS/DVDA Studio, but these are usually just the very advanced features, like DVD's with multiple languages, multiple camera angles, etc.

Everything you need to make MPEG files, or MPEG2, and DVD's, etc., is included in Vegas Movie Studio. You do have to register the MainConcept MPEG2 encoder, but that is straightforward and simply requires the same activation code you used to register VMS.

Please post more details. People on this forum are always eager to help.

Tim. Thanks for your reply. Sorry for not responding to it for such a long time. I usually try to return immediately after someone is great enough to help me out. Got busy and forgot I even put it up.

I am glad to hear there is no problem saving to MPEG2. I thought that must have been the case but the wording in the manual sure threw me a curve.
