Look forward to a patch for sf8 regarding stability (and hopefully it's batch converter fixes and stability).

until then, i can't trust sf8 anymore (I work with a lot files all day - freezes, gpfs/crashing....just the worst. Happens daily).

No way am I buying 9 - these fixes are due for vers 8.
To call fixes like this an upgrade is ridiculous.

Sorry, wasn't suggesting the fixes should be part of 9 instead of an earlier patch.

I was more asking because I'm currently using SF 6 and in the past they had some good preorder specials. And with my luck, I was trying to avoid buying SF 8 and then have SF 9 announced the next week.

I recently bought SF8 and am really pleased with it's performance - it has not given me the glitches that jaydee has had. I updated to the most recent release after installing which is supposed to fix some bugs. (8.0d)

I have used Audacity and Wavelab 5 before (owned Audacity, bugged my buddy to use Wavelab) and although I prefer Wavelab (well, I should because it's price is almost double SF8) I have been really surprised and pleased at what SF8 does for the money.
