Can my Acid 3 use asio drivers?

No, ASIO compatibility was not added until either ACID 4 or 5. I can't remember which version, off the top, of my head. But, it was not there in ACID 3.

Cheers,

You have to tell the MBox that is is ok to use ACID 3 with it.

There is a registry entry for the DIGI "wave drivers" that needs to be modified with the correct executable.

You can get

http://www.railjonrogut.com/DigiMMEHelper.zip

Which is listed on the DIGI drivers/download web site. This utility will allow you to add/remove what apps can use/see the MBox wave drivers.

Or, you can do it manually:

WARNING: You can mess up your DIGI wave drivers doing this, so make SURE you understand what you are doing here.

Make sure ACID or any other audio app is not running:

Locate:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Digidesign\MME Driver Bindings

Locate

WaveAllowedProcesses

And then add the complete .exe for ACID 3 into this list, using the format of the other items already in the list.

Don't have ACID 3 around, but it is most likely

acid30.exe

You should be able to browse to it and locate the installed file.
