I have Acid and PT 7 which can now read acidized files. I havent used Acid for a while but am just getting back into it. How do i save a loop that i have pitch-shifted and bpm'd to a new tempo as an Acidized file so that Protools can read it? Also can "exporting" loops as individual files, save all my new loops as individual rendered loops so that i can import into Protools? Can i just drag these into the PT timeline?- thanks |

You could work with Acid into ProTools via Rewire. Do all the loop work in Acid and Acid will appear in ProTools for you to do the rest of the work. It is easier |

I am not sure but I think you can do all you said. I don´t have PT7 but I was interested in it ( that was before Acid Pro 6 preview, now I think Acid Pro 6 is all that I need) and I think I read you could drug the loops into the timeline. With respect to the Acidifed loops I think if you save a loop with ACID it will be acidifed and Protools should read it. Just try. |

I use them on the same XP system. The Acid feature in PT7 is nothing like Acid. Acid is much faster. I do all of my work in Acid and then record live vocals, guitars etc. and mix in PT because of the TDM plugins. I do ReWire them together when I want to see how the whole project will sound. When Acid 6 comes out I'll be spending more time in Acid because of the the new midi and audio features! Good luck, George Ware |
