Stick it in a media player or CD player that has CD TEXT. CDA and SoundForge are not media players !

CDA is for authoring CDs, so why would you need to 'get' titles from anywhere else ? If making a compliation you could copy/paste the text froma media player app.

I suspect this is too trivial a scenario to warrant inclusion into either app natively.

I do a lot of Audio montage and import from Audio CD all the time. From an audio stand point you are rigth, I just have to import the track I need but sometimes titles are in spanish, french or german and would prefer to get name extracted as well instead of guessing how to reproduce special characters.
Cheers,

My DAW is equipped with Nero so I can read the CD text. But professionally it would be more elegant that I can read the text directly in SoundForge or CD architect. Hope Sony Programmers are reading the Forum !

CDA 5.2 can read the cd text from a CD. Just use "Disk", "Read Subcodes from CD". If you want to read in the ISRC's too, you need to check off "Full disc scan".
