I was wondering if the get Media Feature in ACID music and pro no longer work? I have been unable to connect. It keeps saying no content or something to that fact.

It's working for me. (I'm using ACID Pro 5.0.)

I don't think it mattered what version of ACID Pro that you had as long as it was registered. Maybe your installation went kablooey? Did you try a repair or reinstall?

Maybe version 3 is trying to download the files from sonicfoundry.com instead of sonymediasoftware.com. It would appear that recently SonicFoundry.com stopped replying to activation requests. Maybe they don't have the ACID loops anymore either.

I wonder if there some setting within ACID I can check to see where it is looking for the Get Media? I always assumed Get Media was getting files from Acidplanet, maybe I'm wrong.

I have similar problem I've bought new computer and installed and registered ACID Pro 3.0 and I can't get media anymore. BUT!!!
On my old computer, I'm still able to download?
What is the catch?

I recently reinstalled the software, and then when I registered it I asked why I was getting the error with the Get Media, and they told me that it will no longer route to the servers. They further told me that I could upgrade, which I don't wish to do, but I find it interesting that some of you can still get it on your old computer. I am hoping there is fix that could be applied because I want to continue getting the media.

After recently deciding to get my software reinstalled I, too, discovered the Get Media no longer worked in for my ACID 3.0 software. (I can't justify the upgrade unless I actually get back into it serious enough to do so.)

Unfortunately, I did not find a resolution through the forum search. However, I did venture to install a trial version of 6.0 and discovered that you can peek at the server address used by 6.0 and apply that to 3.0 to download the files (via the registry). I don't know what else you may need to do for this to work seamlessly. I've only tried to download (and succeeded) this month's loops. Well, except for the 6.0-only content that relies on the Kompact software.

Perhaps someone can explore further to develop a more complete solution for the forum?

Starting Hint: NetMediaProviders should point to http://software.sonypictures.com/providers/mediaproviders/getmediaproviderinfo.asp instead of the Sonic Foundry address in the registry.
