Subject:Save with metadata

When I open a Broadcast wave file and edit it, then save as, and choose "save with metadata" I get an error. "An error occurred reading the file. Make sure you have read access to the file/folder and that it is not corrupted" It doesn't always happen. Seems random (although I'm sure its not really!) The files does save ok though. But then if I close the file and re-open it, I get the same error message. The file seems fine after OKing the msg and it seems fine on the drive (no strange flags). I've had this problem many times in the past. It seems Sound Forge doesn't like broadcast wave or metadata very much. Why isn't the metadata visible in the Open dialog window? Even when you click More you don't get to see it. In file properties there is a Summary tab but this seems to be information relating only to sound forge and doesn't show BWAV data. We provide sound effects to the audio industry and have found that broadcast wave has already been a standard for many years now. I can't understand why Sound Forge STILL does not fully support this format! I need to do a LOT of work editing over 100,000 sound effects in the very near future and I hope I can use sound forge, but it looks like I may have to go to a competitor just to get these basic features.
