Subject:opinions on a mix

I mixed a concert (vocal group) with drum, cello, violin, guitar accompaniment, blended the instruments in for nice background effect, some want instruments more in front, others think they are too much in front...question....how do you all set up a mix, can everyone be happy??? What do you shoot for??
