It's scheduled to be an advanced class, color correction, compositing, etc. The scheduled instructor is Jeffrey Fisher.
A more fleshed out agenda should be on the NAB site shortly
Advanced Techniques in Sony Vegas: Hype or Reality?
Find out what the buzz is all about. Users of all NLE applications have turned to Vegas to compliment their workflow. Some editors decided on Vegas for its ease-of-use. Others use it specifically for one function, such as scaling. Many videographers use Vegas exclusively for all video editing functions including color correction, compositing, audio mastering, keying, generated media, DVD authoring and more. You may be next. This session will go deeply into Vegas, giving instruction and insight into the advanced features that make Vegas software powerful and unique. Perfect for all Vegas users, interested users, software dealers, and non-linear editors.
Okay. You guys are killin' me! Having skipped the Vegas 6 upgrade, I'm committed to the (hopefully) upcoming 7 upgrade. Up until a couple weeks ago I've been just fat, dumb, & happy to wait for NAB. Now you guys are getting me excited for 7 and each day without it drags on and on. Darn you ...
Wasn't stable for me until 6b... In 6c MPEG renders began to be slower and it's still not resolved. It's a known issue. I'm not whining it's just facts..
MPEG rendering for me, is faster in 6c vs 5d. Just had occasion to test this yesterday.
1:22 in 6c vs 1:40 in 5d. Same veg file, originated in Vegas 4. Same machine. Same firewire drive.
Not a small difference at all, if it were a long project.
My CPU usage went down from 100% with 6b to 50% with 6c. Render times are twice as long now. I assume you are using a dual processor machine ? Anyways, from what I have been told this is Mainconcept code, not Sony.
Alright - I didn't mean to say whinning in a negative way - (don't know how it was meant, but not negative) my appologies to those I may have put off with that comment.
