Greetings Frog,

Open up the 'Audio plugins' tab/window and you should see near the top a text box with the 'save' icon (floppy disk) located to the right of it. Type an appropriate name in the text box and click the save icon. You have now made a preset that can be applied to any and as many other tracks and projects as you like.`

What Spy is trying to say is that you can’t reuse a track in ACID 5. Your best bet is to save the effects as chains and reapply them to the new tracks created by the new wav files as he suggests. According to Sony’s ACID 6 brochure, ACID 6 will allow you to do what you want when it comes out so it looks like this is just a workaround for now.

In most versions of ACID:
Duplicate Track, then open the explorer view panel, find the file you want, click it, and drag and drop it on the NAME of the Duplicated track. Now that file plays back using all the settings and everything you had for the other file. I do this all the time to comp vocal tracks. Works like a charm.

At least, I think it does.

Cheers,
NP

Oh yea, I forgot about dragging a new file to replace the one on the track. Duh!
