Subject:Pro Tools and ACID issues...

Obviously, this would be for those working with ACID in PT 7. But here's my pickle. I close out of Pro Tools. I then open up ACID. Under preferences in the Audio tab, I scroll through my options and select Digidesign ASIO. The settings prefill and I hit apply and OK.

The 002 scribble scrips flash "working" and the Firewire 1394 light is on. But when I hit play, the cursor doesn't move. So, I checked to see if it was a fault of the software. I used the default Windows option, and hit play. The cursor moved, the level meters showed sound. When I re-selected the Digi ASIO driver. Again, nuthin'.

Is there something I'm missing? Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mark

I think you should post your question in the Digidesign Forums. It seems that here people doesn´t use Pro Tools. By the way, I am plannig to buy Pro Tools M-Powered. Are you happy with Pro Tools?

I love it. There's some pain involved in playing with other platforms (although I think that PT7 has some updates on the way to get around the OMF issue), but it's so easy to record out of the box, and very user intuitive.

And yes, I've already posted this question in the DUC form. You won't regret M-Powered, but make sure you go to the Digi site and ensure that your computer is compatible -- specifically your motherboard, your chipset, etc.
Take care,
Wheels
