I was wondering if anybody uses a drum machine with their acid software, does it help making beats easier? If so do you recomend it? Also what would be a good drum machine to use? Thanks

I imagine using your own drum sequencer of some sort would make life easier. The only things I would suggest are to be familiar with whatever drum machine you use and the process of ACIDizing your own material. (And some rudimentary music theory doesn't hurt either.)

As an alternative, you can use percussive One-shots and arrange them on ACID's timeline, effectively using ACID like a drum sequencer.

I use Jamstix which is found here:

It is just incredible. I can put a drum part that sounds like a freakin drummer in just a couple of minutes and yet is custom, not generic. I have the extra sound sets and they sound wonderful. The program works well in Acid though it goes outside of the way the rest of Acid works. I just can't say enough good about this program. The effect once I add some regular Acid loops to the mix is that of a real drummer playing with loops. I highly recommend Jamstix!
