Acid 5 Crashes System On Load -ACID Product Family

I've read through the forums and troubleshooting information on the Sony website but nothing has helped. I can't count how many times I've tried the install/uninstall/delete directories, reinstall methods listed time and time again. I haven't heard back as yet, but thought I would post here in case this seemed familiar to others. After a successful installation of the 5.0c Upgrade, I try to launch the application. Once the splash screen for Acid appears, my system reboots. System Log: Error code 100000d1, parameter1 03d93005, parameter2 00000002, parameter3 00000001, parameter4 7c918154. Application Log: The description for Event ID ( 19011 ) in Source ( MSSQL$SONY_MEDIAMGR ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: (SpnRegister) : Error 1355. I have had this software running on this system before. I am reinstalling after a successful WinXP reinstallation. Very clean system. All in all, just curious if anyone has run into this. After you've finished, please accept that this is all your fault and update your system specs to reflect your failings as a person. I have had this software running on this system before. I am reinstalling after a successful WinXP reinstallation. Very clean system.

All in all, just curious if anyone has run into this. My system has the latest patches, .NET and SP, etc.

OS - XP SP2
3.4 Intel Processor
1GB Ram
.NET 1.1 SP1

SoundCard
M-Audio Delta 192

Sounds like the Media Manager did not install properly. Did you try what's suggested in the KB?
