Yes, there is a way to do this, but I don't remember the exact details...

In VMS 6, do Make Movie but render to AVI (DV AVI). Then, pull this AVI file into DVDA Studio, and somewhere in DVDA you can find a "Fit to Disc" option (I think under an Optimize button somewhere).

Sorry I don't have time to give better answers here, but this should get you started. Try looking for "Fit to Disc" in the help files. Basically, this feature looks at how long your video is, and calculates a bit-rate for the MPEG render that will let it fit onto a DVD.

Thanks. Found it. When in Arct. and making movie one of the screens has an optimize button. They couldn't have made it easier because all one has to do is use a slider to adjust the final file size to fit on the DVD (or CD). Gotta love this program.
