Is it just me or are the loops that Sony gave us for Christmas the same ones I paid for when I purchased Acid Pro 5.0? I wonder who decided this would be a good idea. The way I see it, you have given people who didn't upgrade something that I paid for, and given the people who did pay for Acid Pro 5.0 a lump of coal. Sour grapes? Maybe, but you guys should think a bit more...last Christmas you gave me a Playstation disc that wiped out both my memory cards, and this christmas you hook me up with something I already have. Excusable, except I bought it from you so you really should have known better. Happy new year, try to do better.

Are you referring to the Get Media loops for the month of December?

Madison Media, being a subsidiary, has nothing to do with what goes on the PlayStation realm (minus the software they themselves develop like the recent PSP Media Manager). If you have to complain to anyone, talk to the bigwigs at Sony Computer Entertainment.

Hi MD,
No I'm not referring to the Get Media loops, but rather the CD of free loops that Sony was offering as a holiday gift to its customers. You had to fill out a form and you get a CD of loops and a calendar. The loops they sent all seem to match up with the loops sold as content along with Acid Pro 5.
As for the Playstation thing, y'know, I'm one person, if I piss someone off, I don't tell them: "Oh, that was just Thursday Illogical, you'll have to take it up with him, I'm Friday Illogical and I have nothing to do with that."
We give way more than enough power (without responsibility) to corporations as it is, I'm not about to start supporting the notion that certain appendages of a company are not to be held responsible for the company's actions.

Ha, I didn't even mention 'rootkit' once!

If Sony has sent out a xmas present that is exactly the same as the product they originally bundled with ACID Pro then it's a bit of a joke.

No point trying to pass the buck on to a subsidery of Sony because Sony ought to know what is being promoted in their name.

Yes they should know what is going on. How long did it take for you to get the calendar and CD, anyway?? Seems like it's been about a month, and it's still a no-show.

LOL, I was going to mention, "be thankful they didn’t come to your neighborhood and spray paint PSP graffiti on your building walls..." but I refrained in good taste. ;-)

LOL, jr, yeah, it was quite a year for Sony. I forget who asked (damn this forum and it's silly ways) but it took about a month for my calendar and 'free' loops to show up, just got it about a week ago.

Seriously, though, remember that Madison Media was once part of Sonic Foundry. As I understand it, all Sony did was scoop up the same teams that have been working on the DAW apps all these years and slapped their name on it, so it's basically the same old same old in Wisconsin.

I don't know who takes care of promo stuff though.

Well, sure I understand the history, but I didn't direct my ire towards the Madison team, I said Sony...no actually I said SONY!
