I want to put a bunch of songs that I recorded into a timeline to make a CD. The manual says to position audio files on the timeline in the order you want them to play on your CD for a DAO. How do you position your file (songs) onto the timeline?

Is it pssible to burn a full CD of several songs in ACID or should I use Nero or Media Player to burn a complete CD and just use ACID to record songs only?

You would place each song on a separate track (do not use the beatmapper) and paint them so they are one after the other (use Ctrl+Paint to paint the entire song with one click). Press the ‘N’ key at the beginning of each song to designate a new CD track and then burn using DAO.

Personally, I would use Nero for this if you have it. Much less work unless you want one song to lead into the next without a 2 second gap. For that you must use ACID. You can even crossfade them in ACID and still have a CD track marker at any point you want. That’s when you would use ACID for this instead of Nero.
