Recording from Windows Apps like Acid or Live -Sound Forge - PC

Subject:Recording from Windows Apps like Acid or Live Posted by: Jpelton Date:1/1/2006 9:26:35 PM In version SF 6, I was able to record audio into SF from Acid while it's playing a song, Live while DJ-ing, Cubase while mixing down or stuff off the internet. I do it by selecting the outputs from my soundcard (Hammerfall 9652) as inputs into SF. Most of the time, I output to SPDIF and record in SF from SPDIF. But no matter what I try, I just can't do the same thing in SF8. I never see the signal show-up off of any inputs I select. So now, all I use SF8 for is editing pre-record Audio, acid loops and nothing else. I don't know why I have to keep a copy of SF 6 around just to record. Can someone please tell me what the heck I'm doing wrong? Thanks
