I just bought a TC Electronic Powercore Firewire and have not been able to properly run the Powercore plugins with ACID Pro 5. They're just doing weird shit. For instance, the plugin "Filtroid", when I move one of the sliders, nothing happens, but when I click just on the virtual faceplate (in other words, no sliders, buttons, knobs, anything..), like five parameters will randomly change. The "EQSat" program, every time you press stop and then play again in ACID, the filter bands will automatically return to their default position. All of the Powercore plugins seem to be buggy in ACID, and they often crash it. Filtroid even caused a Blue Screen crash at one point, but I believe that error was due to a firewire card issue after talking to TC Electronic tech support. Anybody else ever try to use Powercore with ACID? SONY, are you aware of any current VST support issues like this, and is it being addressed any time soon? Thanks, J |

Also, for your reference, I'm using ACID Pro 5, version C. Windows XP SP2 running on an AMD Athlon 64 4000+ San Diego core, 1 GB RAM, Gigabyte brand motherboard, Echo Gina 3G soundcard. |
