How do you change the type of instrument that is being used in the piano roll? If you can only use the Piano that is pretty gay because on FL Studio you can use tons of electronic stuff.

What Soft Synth are you using for that track and MIDI channel? The DLS Synth? Just open it up and change the instrument to any of the ones that are available. You can even assign a different instrument to each MIDI channel. Depending on the version if ACID you have, you can install new instruments (VSTi that you purchase or for free) and use those as well.
