Preserving CD text after duplication

LarryP wrote on 10/28/2005, 6:27 PM
Does anyone have any experience with having a CD with CD text duplicated by Discmakers who say they accept CD-R master or PMCD?

My client (friend) has been using Discmakers for the past 6 years and been happy with the package, including inserts, but might entertain another duplicator if anyone has some suggestions.

Related questions: Is a “CD-R master” anything more than a DAO burn? I couldn’t find any reference to CDA creating a PMCD. Is this correct or am I missing something?

Thanks.

Larry

Any replication house should accept CD-R production masters (which is what they are calling PMCD I guess), CD-TEXT or not. As long as the disc is DAO and satisfies theirerror-rate criteria.

Correct. Just Mastered 2 projects and sent them to a Replication house. They did confirmed that TEXT was present and the ERROR Rate was acceptabl3. I then later received a memo from them stating that my MASTER was OK and sent to the replication .
