Subject:Playing two files/clips at the same time

Hi,

I wonder if SF7 will play two mono files at the same time? If the answer is yes, how do you do it? What I usually do it take a clip from Sonar and take it into SF7 to edit. I tried selecting two different clips (tracks) today in to SF and view them side by side but I can only select one at a time. I know Soundforge is a two channel or two track editor so I would think I should be able to do this.

Thanks,
Macjohn

Create a new stereo file, then copy and paste each mono file into one of the channels. Sound Forge can play two channels at once, but only one file at a time.

Chienworks,

Thanks for helping with this! Will you please take me through how to create a new stereo file?

Thanks

File> New. Select the sample rate, bit depth and mono / stereo.
You would typically want: 44,100Hz - 16bit - Stereo.

Don't forget you have the in-program help files and the PDF manual.
