I am having trouble with the synth presets.
When I assign a synth to a midi track, I choose a preset that i want, but when i play the track the synth keeps on changing back to a default preset. But this only happens sometimes.
I am using the xpress keyboards which came with the acid pro 5.
I have acid pro 5.0b.
Can someone tell me why this happens?

For starters... install 5.0c to see if that helps you out any.

I have the same problem, using Native Instruments Kontakt II, FM7 and ABSynth, and I have installed ACID PRO 5.c

The problem is: I can change the patch por ABSynth or the volume of each individual instrument in Kontakt, but when I start playing proyect from the begining, the volume knobs retirn to the original positions.

I'm using MIDI files wrotted directly in Acid including only notes, no control events.

This is a big problem for me...

This is the exact type of problem I have whenever I try to use TC Powercore plugins in ACID Pro5C. I've also noticed this problem when using Steinberg ME Compressor. I think it has something to do with with ACID just not being able to handle the VST protocol quite right yet. This is becoming a big problem for me now as well, because I really, really want to ditch some of my hardware and get my TC Powercore running in ACID. If Sony doesn't address this problem soon (and for that matter, the no hardware controller support problem as well), it looks like I'm going to have to start learning Cubase unfortunately. This is becoming a dealbreaker, really frusterating as I'm a long time ACID user and advocate.

Yes, this is an ongoing problem with ACID. I have the same trouble with Uhe and Camel Audio plugins. According to Camel Audio this is a problem with ACID. Sony have been informed about this bug by myself and this dev over 3 months ago. Nothing has been done about it.

There is a partial workaround. Always choose your preset in ACID's preset menu rather than in the plugin. This is not always possible because ACID can't see the presets in some plugins so the preset has to be chosen in the plugin.

This is such a PITA and evidence that Sony have failed to test many of the plugins out there. Three updates are not enough. Sony need to sort out these problems a lot quicker.

I also have the same problem. In addition to Absynth and other Native Instrumet VST's, I have the problem in Crystal, the most rock solid VST instrument I've ever used.

Sony, can you hear us?
