I'm using Sony Sound Forge Audio Studio and, although I never change the file settings, and getting some digital wash or distortion after I save about 4 times. Any tips on how to avoid this annoying problem? Thanks. |

What file format are you saving to? If you are using a compressed format then there will be increasing degradation with each save. |

Yeah, need to release my files in mono mp3, 64k, 16-bit, 44.1. Should I work through all my editing at another setting, then bang it down when I'm done? |

Yes, absolutely. The MP3 encoding should only occur at the final step. geoff |

Yep. Keep everything as 16 bit 44.1KHz WAV files while editing, and save the final version as this format too. Then make a copy of the final version as MP3. |
