Export AAF from FCP, Open AAF in Vegas.

What do I need to do to deal with the fact that the footage from the FCP is on another computer...do i just need to re capture that footage in Vegas and it will properly point to the right places in the AAF which I will open in Vegas? Does that make sense?

Thanks
Jeremiah

Dumb question, but do you need Automatic duck to export AAF from FCP?

In FCP, I'm not seeing AAF export.

FCP AAF does requires the plug-in from AutomaticDuck.com.

If you are doing lots of inter-app project interchange, AAF is a good bet these days- the current versions of AVID, Vegas, Premiere, XPRI and quite a few other editing platforms now support AAF I/O.

AAF Works great for me ! Even reading files captured in FCP in a OSX formatted disk, works faster than nesting .veg files ;)

How do you set up your Vegas project to successfully export an AAF file to a sound designer using Pro Tools?
