Subject:MIDI tracks not playing

FYI, I'm a complete beginner... with XMC 6.0

I have a MIDI file I wanted to just play with to convert, but when I load it into a track, I can see it but nothing plays. The track properties are blank, but given I can't edit it with XMC (I think) perhaps that's not surprising.

FYI, I can play the file fine using the Windows Media Player. I've played with volume settings as well.

Anyone know what newb mistake I've made?

Did you paint the file on the track? If you are just seeing an empty track, use the paint tool and Ctrl+LeftClick on the beginning of the track and the entire MIDI file will be painted. Then you should hear it.
