I actually did. However whilst I will look again, none talked about what I need, rather derivatives of the concept. They all seemed to start the text in the centre rather than starting from behind the camera, if you know what I mean.

From my own "memory":

1/- Enter text into Text Media and use Placement

2/- Make the Text roll from bottom of frame to top.

3/- Using 3D track motion lay the frame backwards - ie tilt the top away from you.

. .and that's from memory

You are thinking of the famous text crawl effect - he asked about the Star Wars logo which appears *before* the text crawl.

This is a simple use of pan and crop to zoom into text media (or an imported picture with alpha channel transparency) so it fills the screen to the borders and slightly beyond. Then you have a zoom out key framed so the logo shrinks down to infinity over the required duration.

Vegas 4 has Track Motion.

I just uploaded a sample file and video for you, created in Vegas 4. It's VERY simple to do this stuff, once you understand how to use keyframes and animation on the timeline, using track motion. :)

And neither did Spot (DSE) !! haha... oh well. You older guys are allowed some mistakes at your age. ;) Oh wait, at 32, I may not be one of the "kids" anymore.

I'm even older than that! Just so happens that I'd just finished a project which also parodied the Star Wars opening so I recognised what he was looking for and indeed PumiceT's example has nailed the logo appearance and fade nicely.
