DVD freezing up

This is a 100 minute HBO fight from 1988 which my friend recorded on his VHS from cable. He is in the video so he gave me the tape. I transfered to my Sony Cam then computer. I edited the rounds of the fight then rendered a mpeg 2 DVD ntsc.

The dvd successfully burns but when played on DVD player freezes near the end of the video. I know it is not the media for I tried different brands. Also I have tower and it lets me prescan and BINGO it shows error. I even tried making the VOB files then using a different DVD burn program and get same results.

What could be wrong?
Is there a suggestion to rerender Mpeg2 with different settings?

Thank you,
Randy

My Tower is a Pioneer 7 DVD duplicator. However whn I watched the DVD in normal hosehold players it starts to freeze up at the end of the video around the 11 round of a 12 round fight.

Thank you,
Randy

I was wondering if there is a way to rerender an mpeg with different settings?

I'm having the exact same problems.
I have a 1hr 10m DVD. It starts to pause/jerk/freeze about 50 -55 minutes in.
I've tried rendering from V6c at a lower bitrate (than the DVDA defaults), but burned DVD still freezes in same areas.

This is only on 1 player...it plays without failing on 4 others I've tried.

I think I have fixed my problem.

I applied at Broadcast Colors filter to the entire production, set to Conservative Setup.

Now the DVD plays (at default V6c render and default DVDA settings) in all 5 of my players.

(Note: this does not exclude a problem with "overheating"...i.e. playing the DVD in a player that has been turned on for several hours....which may or may not be a problem here. However, I'm happy the BC filter "seems" to work for me.)
