The Key-light keyer in After Effects and the Diamond keyer in Combustion are reportedly very good. You could purchase the Primatte keyer plugin for AE or if you find an old copy of the now defunct Commotion. It was included along with the Composite Wizard and Image lounge plugins which allowed for different layers to be color matched, light wrapped and realistic shadows to be added. It was a very good, very versitile, and for PC users, very buggy program.
The old Commotion had the best wire puller around, didn't it? ;-)
There is also Ultimatte...but big bucks. Frankly, Ultra 2 is my fave now. Ultra 1 was missing some things, but I've pulled some amazing keys from Ultra 2. It renders fast as heck, too. Shadows, lighting, camera angles, keyframed movement, cropping, back and foregrounds...all are easy with Ultra 2, whereas Ultra 1 couldn't do any of that. My only real complaint is that they don't have a firewire preview. What's up with that?
