Just opened a project a friend sent me, the project was built on Vegas4 but I'm on Vegas5 (upgrade money is a rare commodity around theses parts). Just playing the timeline I see the memory useage go through the roof. I killed Vegas when the memory used reached 2.5Gbs and climbing, I only have 1GBs on this machine, the rest was pagefile; of course the whole system was crawling and unresponsive.

The video in question is rather short, about 5 minutes, but comprised of uncompressed AVI and 48KHz, 24 bits audio. The thing is it plays along fine on my friend machine and Vegas 4, and his machine is older/slower and with less memory. I'm baffled...
