Subject:VSTi Not showing???

I successfully used LiveSlice v1.2 VSTi demo in ACID 5. I bought the full version, deleted the demo and replaced it with the full version in my VST folder. I rescanned the VST folder but now ACID will only see LiveSlice as a VST effect.

I've tried multiple rescans of the VSTi's. I removed the LiveSlice folder from my VST folder and rescanned and then replaced it and rescanned. Nothing helps! How do I solve this?

LiveSlice works perfectly in Cakewalks Sonar 4 and in Ableton's Live 4. I think this is to do with ACID because it's happened once before with U-He's Filterscape VA. I replaced the demo with the full version. I tried rescanning but could not get it to show up in ACID as a VSTi. I don't know how it fixed itself but now Filterscape VA shows up.

I just hope Sony will sort out ACID's cumbersome VST/VSTi implimentation with the next upgrade so that PITAs like the problem I'm having with LiveSlice will not happen in the future.

I want to be able to edit VST/i features of individual plugins like turning on/off tempo based effects. And to force ACID to 'see' effects and be able to assign whether they are VST/VSTi would be very useful.

2 hrs trying to fix this. Aaaargh!

Is there any way of deleting the VST log in ACID? ACID won;t recognise LiveSlice whatever I do. It's not coming up as VSTi or VST. Filterscape VA has gone AWOL too!

Does ACID just ban certain VSTi's or something? PITA's like this that waste hours trying to sort out are exactly why I want VST troubleshooting tools and greater control over VST in ACID.

Anyone?

Panic over! A quick post by Reverse Engineer at KVR solved the problem. He suggested deleting the 'Plugs' registery key which I did. ACID rescanned everything and now LiveSlice and Filterscape show up in ACID as VSTi. Hail R.E! He is legendary!
