Would this also apply when preparing video for the web? Well, video with audio, of course. :)

I never really gave much thought to the compression used when rendering (with Vegas, of course) a film for web distribution, but the audio is compressed along with the video... And I do run the audio through SoundForge

Hi Dan,

I actually haven't tried it, but I would think you might also improve the quality of the audio for a video by using these techniques. It depends on the type of compression you're using and how much.

It certainly can't hurt to give it a try and see what the results sound like. :-)
