hey everyone, i had a quick ques. i am trying to import some .wav files into soundforge but it just wont let me. no error message comes up to say why its just nothing happens when i try to import the file in. i think it is because it is to full of stuff. for example. the bit rate is 4608kps , audio sample size is 24bit, and audio sample rate is 96. and i would change the settings in soundforge but i cant get them in there to change. i was wondering if anyone has any solutions. i think i need to compress them and if so does anyone know what application i should best use. thanks for any help you may gve chow joe |

There should be no problem loading 24 bit 96,000KHz stereo wav files into SF. Maybe they are corrupt ? What version SF ? You don't need to compess anything. geoff Message last edited on11/16/2005 1:35:44 PM byGeoff_Wood. |

Is it a standard audio CD? Try ripping the files from that CD directly in Sound Forge. Of course, standard audio CD tracks will be 44.1KHz 16 bit. If what you have is an audio CD then i suspect you went through a lot of unnecessary processing to get the files you have now. |

How do you get 24 bit 96K files from a CD ? WAVs extracted from a CD can only be 16/44K1/s. Or is it a CD-ROM, in which case what were the files created with ? geoff |

Yeah, if it's an audio CD try extracting the tracks. If not, the you might need to go back to the original software used to create the 24-bit files. BobM |

Will Premier let you render a WAV file? If so, try doing that, then bring these new WAV files into Sound Forge. |
