Hello, I am trying to create a fade on a track in acid pro 5. I understand what the manual says about how to do a fade. I place the cursor over the right hand corner of the track/event and then a two-headed horizontal arrow along with a quarter circle shows up, and then I click and drag. Okay, the problem is that the two-headed horizontal arrow with the quarter circle does not appear. What I get is a two-headed horizontal arrow with a rectangle. I have tried this numerous times and the result is always the same. Does anyone know why the fade symbol would fail to appear? thanks, Andrew |

Hmmm, you've probably already tried these, but i'll ask anyway ... are you sure you're going to the top corner of the event? If the event already has a fade then you have to go to where the fade starts rather than the end of the clip. The fade may be rather short and unnoticeable. Try moving the mouse just a bit to the left of the corner. |

Chienworks, I have moved the cursor in pretty much every possible location on or near the track. I have tried it on old files and on new files. I believe that I have somehow changed one of the default settings. andrew |

Are you using the Draw Tool when trying to access a quick fade? (I imagine you are from the sounds of it.) As Chienworks mentioned, if a fade already exists, you will have to go to the edge of the fade itself rather than the edge of the event. Zoom in on an event using the Zoom Tool (in the lower right of the timeline window; looks like a magnifying glass), then try getting to the quick fade. If all else fails, try an uninstall and reinstall of ACID. Iacobus ------- RodelWorks - Original Music for the Unafraid Buy Instant ACID by JohnnyRoy and mD! mD at ACIDplanet |
