Subject:8.0a > 8.0b Can't Preview DX favorites

No matter what the settings are in Options/Preferences, I cannot get previews that don't stutter or crash the application. The "help" page isn't of much help. Luckily, I kept the 7.0b. I'm switching back until the problem is fixed. Can anybody help?
