Subject:Which Vinyl Restoration?

I'm using SoundForge 7. I have Noise Reduction 2. I am copying vinyl records.

There are two different menu options for Vinyl Restoration.

One in the "Tools" menu called "Vinyl Restoration" and one in the "DX Favorites" menu called "Vinyl Rstoraiton". The one from the "DX Favorites" menu has a window title "Sony Vinyl Restoration". The one in the "Tools" menu has a window title "ExpressFX Vinyl Restoration".

Which one should I use? Why are there two?

The settings are exactly the same. I never noticed this before but I think the express version came with soundforge & the other one is a noise reduction plug in.

I would use the one from the Noise Reduction, since it is the one I am most familiar with. The other one was added to SF7 and I suspect may be the same plugin.
Maybe the Forum Admin can weigh in on this question.
