Hello,
'

Using DVD architect 3.. and i am doing a DVD which is a concert with 10 songs.. I braought everything into vegas, putmarkers at the beggining of each song.. rendered it out(told vegas to save markers..)
Bring the whole deal into architect..and insert it with cahpters.. all goes well, and it creates all the buttons for me//
The one thing i have not figured out is, when i click on one of the buttons, it plays that song, but it also then goes on a plays everthing that was after it on the timeline also..Is there something else i have to do to tell it wher it should end at ????

Thanks,
Mike m.

That's the what cpater markers work; commonly known as scene selection - on a commercial DVD, when you select a scene (chapter), the movie starts at that point and then continues on to the end.

If you want different behavior, you'll need to bring the movie into your project multiple times, and then set in/out points for each instance of the movie that correspond to your chapters. DVDA2 and DVDA3 are smart enough to only put the movie on the disk a single time.

Well that sucks.. Not what i thought would happen..

So i have to now bring in each song as a separtae piece??
The DVd is almost full already.. This will probaly put me over the top..

This is not good news for me..

Don't panic - although you drop the same clip ten times and set start and end points for each, DVDA will know that it's the same clip and only put it on disc once.

Hello,

OK thanks for the responses.. Can I just use the "chapters" buttons and menu structure that is already there, and just replace the video or do i have to create all new buttons and then just drop the same video in each one and set the ins and outs??

thanks,
Mike m.

The existing chapter buttons don't point to a unique instance of the movie, they point to the same instance of the movie, so no, you can't use the exisitng buttons.

You must create multiple instances of the movie, each instance has a different in/out points.
