Hello, I've noticed that with sf8 audio studio, when you open any sound file and press space to play it (or play) , when the sound begins theres always a little tick or dip... thats very annoying because when you are cutting up things you don't have a general idea about how the music starts because of that... I risk posting this double because someone might have posted this befor... is there a solution for this ? I have audiostudio 8 build 36 cd |

For what it's worth, I've got this with the full SF8 as well. It's been low on my list of things to look into, but it is a bit annoying ( and SF3 thru SF7 have never did this ). In my case, any time you engage play from transport ( anywhere in the file), there's a small hiccup as it starts. Curious if any other users run into this, as Acid4 and SONAR4 on the same system don't exhibit this behaviour.... |

I get this too. Makes editing really frustrating. What soundcards are you people using? I'm using an Emu 1820m. ***EDIT - just increased the playback buffer from 0.10 seconds to 0.20 and the 'thump/glitch' thing on playback start is gone. (using the regular wave driver, not ASIO - ASIO never suffered from the problem).*** Cheers OPAS Message last edited on10/1/2005 8:08:49 AM byibliss. |
