thx, I have it on both computers now. Isn't there any limit in how much you can re-register it in an event of hd failure or hardware change ? |

Yes. Sony allow 3 (i think) installs on different computers on the condition that only one is in active use by one person. A very mature and practical outlook to my way of thinking. I have my Sony software installed and registered on3 different PCs, of which I only ever use one at a time (home, studio, laptop). Multiple installs on the same computer cause no problems at all, unless the computer ID (based on installed hardware) changes significantly. ANd if you do get an authorisation problem, a simple email to Sony gets the situation addressed (has happened once to me in quite a few years and 20+ version installs). geoff Message last edited on9/15/2005 3:31:35 PM byGeoff_Wood. |

Yes they are very good about things like that. Customer service is attentive with registration and serial # issues also. So I give them credit for that. |

Probably doens't need me to say it, but Amen to all that anyway! SF/Sony is the only music software company that seems to look at things from the user point of view. Support is guaranteed to come back within 24 hours, you can run software on different PCs, there are facilities for registering PCs without internet connections etc. Plus things like GetMedia and 8Packs are added bonuses that work SO smoothly and seamlessly. Furthermore, every time I buy an upgrade or a new product, I am always pleasantly surprised by the bundled bonuses. Keep up the good work Sony! And no, I don't work for either company! |

this is very good!.. At least I don't always have to think about "ok, where do I want to edit my stuff".. sometimes i'm on my music pc, sometimes on this one and over the years, sf has grown to me as the most no-nonsense application out there, after testing goldwave, cool edit and what not ... and that way it's just a breeze now to quickly edit and cut things up for usage on the pc of choce.. so thats very good news :) Message last edited on9/16/2005 3:36:20 AM byCosmicD. |
