quicktime 7 .mov won't insert

A mac buddy used final cut to export a .mov that I need to use with vegas. When I couldn't open it or play it in windows I inquired. He said get quicktime 7. Now I have qt7 and it'll open and play in windows, but not in vegas (only the audio comes in).

Is there a way to update my vegas quicktime version? I don't need to export it in quicktime 7 (although that would be nice) only need to be able to use it inside a project.

well, same for me .except, that I'm using the pro version of quicktime 7 and nothing works in Vegas, Lightwave.... It's time to really leave apple's world...
