not sure actually.... In fact...
FCP is superior on this point, it can search every media you have used on the current project, in any directory, and store them in one... makes storage project easier, when you work like a... well.. like me...

I don't know if vegas 6.0 does the same, because I desactived the option... it makes the computer slowing when you start Vegas...
And my sound sample collection is already well-classified...
