According to their developer they follow the VST specifications fully. The problem is that ACID does not remember the VST preset upon playback. This happens when I chose the preset in the plugin interface. The developer at CamelAudio has discovered a workaround by choosing the preset in the ACID preset window rather than in the plugin GUI. He points out that this is not ideal and believes a fix is necessary for ACID. It's not very convenient being unable to use the plugin GUI to change presets. Especially when a plugin has a number of different preset banks. I takes ACID a while to recognise that the preset bank has been changed. There is also the problem that presets in Filterscape by U-He do not show up in ACID's preset window. The only way to choose a preset in Filterscape is via the plugin GUI. Consequently, I can't use Filterscape because ACID keeps changing the preset on playback. The developer of CamelAudio has contacted Sony support to report this problem and request a fix. I just wanted to highlight it in the forum in case others have experienced it. I've not come across this problem in Sonar 4, Live 5 or any other hosts I use. I hope an update will be released to fix this problem.
