Subject:Synth Automation?

I'm using ACID 5. I understand how to use envelopes to automate VST effects in a synth buss but how do I automate the synth itself?

Is it possible to automate a synth's parameters in ACID 5?

If not (and I suspect this is the case as there is no info in the help file) then when will ACID have synth automation? This is a basic facility of every other host I can think of and should be available in ACID.

I like ACID a lot so I hope synth automation will be implimented. If it is possible then how do I do it? Thanks for your help.

You can automate VSTi synth parameters by adding MIDI Control Change (CC) information using either the Piano Roll Editor or by recording the changes live on another track. I agree it would be much easier to do this with an envelope like other programs do.
