Newbie here. Would appreciate info on how I can create the borg voice effect. Thanks - Resistance is futile. |

That voice effect was created by recording dozens (maybe hundreds) of voices speaking in perfect sync. You can start to approach it with an artificial chorus effect, but since that only modifies a single voice you'll never quite get there. Get a bunch of friends together and practice speaking in sync, then record them. |

Clone Ensemble could be a solution: http://www.cloneensemble.com/ Nice plugin. Record say 4 voices.[you+3friends] apply a insert with CE and send each a bit to it. Add some Panorama to give a nice spacial effect: http://www.wavearts.com/Panorama.html From there experiment with some multitap delay/verb... To spice it up a bit add some Frohmage: http://www.ohmforce.com/UseFreeSoftware.do?action=home HTH... Ed. |

I would suggest taking the vocal sample you want to affect, and make several copys of it. Then use the pitch shift and shift each one some a little up, some a little down. None of them at the same pitch. And make sure that the preserve duration is on. I would also use a stereo file and pan each sample a little left and right of the previous sample. Then layer them all. |
