Subject:"Sustaining Loop" happens by default

Howdy again audio fans!

I just loaded several LPs into SF8.0a and noticed that one of them came up with a Sustaining Loop. I am not doing anything to encourage this (that I know of!) And, upon seeing this, I believe it's happened to me in the past as well.

Does anyone have any idea as to why this might happen sometimes and not others? Obviously I'm not interested in any kind of loops here.

Also, if it does happen, do I need to go to the trouble of getting rid of the loop manually? (Does anything really undesireable happen if I leave it in? All I'll end up doing is putting the track(s) onto a portable music player. )

Thanks in advance!

If all you're doing is putting your music on a portable player, then you don't have anything to worry about. Setting a sample type is only for very specific uses, and if your recordings were going to be used for these purposes, you'd also know if you needed to worry about this. Most programs will ignore the sample designation and play without issue.

Thanks, Nick. I figured it was something like that; just to mess with me a bit :)
