Hi Friends, I'm trying to add a whole song as a track. I add the song, but when I paint i don't know how long to go to add the whole song. Can ACID just paint the whole song automatically? Thanks for your time, Zarchian |

If you want to insert the whole of a loop without painting it you can use the "Insert Event at Play Cursor" command (just hit the Y key) - this will drop one instance of the whole of the loop (in your case the whole of your song) at the point where the play cursor currently sits. If you want it to be inserted at the start of the timeline (as you probably do in your case) just make sure the play cursor is currently at the start point of the track (click on the Go to Start icon or just press the W key) before you hit the Y key. Just click the Paint tool (not the draw tool) and press Ctrl+Paint. It will paint the whole song. ~jr |

Thanks! Now when I try and mix the tracks. I sount like frankenstein, real slow and low. I don't want the bpm to synchronize at all. I'm concatenating a bunch of songs and then adding in my narration as a track later. Is it possible for me to break up the narration into different parts, different projects....create mp3 or whatever the best format is from the projects...then put the mp3 pieces pieces i want in different projects...with the music? Thanks for you time |

You could record the narration all as one track, then select sections of it and render the sections out as separate files. WAV would be the best choice to use. You could also leave the narration as a single file and split it wherever necessary. The pieces can then be dragged down the timeline in order to position them correctly. The nice thing about this method is that they can all be on one track on the timeline. The above method would end up with a track on the timeline for each piece. |
