Im thinking about upgrading from acid 3.0 . Anybody got any ideas when the next Acid is due out. I hate buying something then two month later a newer version is out. Thanks Steven |

I would call sony and ask what there policy is. The same thing happened to other users and from what I can tell sony worked with them. I haven't seen a software vendor not give a free upgrade to a person who made a purchase close to a release date. I know of no release date. Sony NEVER gives a date. Noone with a NDA will either. Ed. |

Steven, I would guess at least a year will pass between new versions. I think Acid 5.0 came out last November. I think Acid 4.0 came out in November 2002. Probably 4 to 5 took longer because the company was sold around that time. Message last edited on8/23/2005 3:22:27 AM bybusterkeaton. |

They just released Acid Music Studio 6. No idea what the difference is with version 5. Does this indicate an upcoming Acid Pro 6?? I sure hope they improve the video import. I use it for making short soundtracks, and the video import leaves much to be desired. |

I honestly don't know when the next version of ACID Pro is coming. But even if I did, I wouldn't (more like couldn't) tell you.
