Subject:Batch Processor, Metadata, and MP3 Files

I am hoping someone from Sony can confirm this for me.

If create a batch job that just alters metadata in a MP3 file, and the save parameters are identical to the original MP3 files, does the file get recompressed or does it just update the metadata? I searched through the docs, but I didn't find any info on this.
