HOW DO I STOP THIS SONG IM TRYING TO REMIX THE TITANIC SONG BUT I DONT KNOW HOW TO STOP ADD SOME OF MY MUSIC AND THEN CONTINUE WHERE I LEFT OFF ON THE TITANIC SONG AGAIN can anyone plz help me ty |

Highlight the song event and place your cursor at the position you want it to stop playing (hint: you may have to zoom in to get the grid to snap to that point or just disable snapping with F8 but I like to zoom the grid so I know the split point is on a musical boundary). Then press the 'S' key to Split the song at that point. Drag the remainder of the song it to the right to the place where you want it to start playing again. Fill in the gap with your music. im trying to mix in my music but see this is the problem the song i have is full and i dont know how to cut it in half like its a file with the titanic song on it anyways im trying to cut out a part of it so i can use it later on in the song after i play my music and im curious on how to do that make a little more sense? |

If you are trying to cut down on the musical content, you can use an EQ to try and cut some of the frequencies (e.g., remove the bass so you can add your own bass part). Sometimes you can find a quieter part of the song (like an intro to a verse) and just loop it for the duration of another part, taking that parts place. Rearranging the sections is done by using the S key to split the song up into its musical parts and then rearranging it by dragging them in a different order. If you have ACID Pro you can use the Chopper to take sections of the song and insert them anywhere you want or Chop to a New Track to make a loop out of any section. Those are the options that you have for remixing in ACID. ~jr |

The Titanic Song?!?!? Now, you went from ALL CAPS to all lowercase...can you tell us a bit about what that transition was like? |
