Is it possible to write a script that detects zero crossing automatically for loops.

A script can examine the file contents and detect zero crossings,
it can move the cursor and the selection, and it can create markers and
regions, and it can edit ACID loop properties.

So you can do ACID loops with scripts.

But Sound Forge also has special Sample Loop regions that exist to support samplers, and those cannot be accessed by a script in Sound Forge 8.

So whether the answer is yes or no depends on whether you are talking about ACID loops or sampler loops.
